Notes of the Meeting of Thorpe St Peter Parish Council held at the School Room, Thorpe Fendyke Methodist Chapel, at 7.30pm on Wednesday 12th July 2023.

a) Lincolnshire Police – Sent their apologies.
b) Lincolnshire County Council – Wendy Bowkett There is a Steeping River Catchment Community event on Friday 21st July 2023 2pm till 7pm at Batemans Brewery Wainfleet.
Cllr W. Bowkett will be sending clerk a new funding form as we haven’t heard anything from Cllr Sid Dennis. W.B advised us to apply for £500 towards the cost of defibrator batteries.
Wainfleet Weekend – Thursday 27th, Friday 28th, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July. There will be a parade on the Saturday. Lots of stalls, games, and music. There will be a funfair in the Market Place.

3. Minutes of Previous Meeting
It was Resolved: That the Minutes of the Parish Council held on 17th May 2023 be approved.
Updates from meeting held on 17th May 2023:
• Internet banking – Clerk has registered for it, and I am waiting for them to send me the details.
• Static Caravan and double decker bus update from Dean Flower – He has spoken to the owner and told him if they don’t soon come off, he will be served with a notice.
4. To receive a report about River Steeping Steering Group
• Still waiting on update on who the Three Tunns Tunnels belong too. There is a Steeping River Catchment Community event on Friday 21st July 2023 2pm till 7pm at Batemans Brewery Wainfleet.
5. Planning & Highways
a. To consider planning applications validated since the last meeting of council.
• Consultation for Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind - OUTER DOWSING OFFSHORE WIND
It was Resolved: to send about the road instructor not being very good.
b. To note planning decisions received since last meeting of council.
• S/184/00327/23 APPLICANT: Mr. K. Waterhouse, VALID: 06/04/2023 AGENT: Status Design, PROPOSAL: Planning Permission - Extension to existing dwelling to provide additional living accommodation. LOCATION: LYMN BANK LODGE, LYMN BANK, THORPE ST PETER, SKEGNESS, PE24 4PJ
6. Highways:
• Overgrown hedges near Thorpe Railway
It was Resolved: Clerk to add on Fix my street.
7. To note correspondence received since the last meeting of council and consider any recommendations:
• Defibrillators need new batteries by 22nd August 2023. The three quotes.
1. Safelincs - £831.76
2. British Heart Foundation - £720.00
3. Defibwarehouse.co.uk - £693.60
It was Resolved: Clerk to contact Lives and then order and will be reimbursed.
8. Grass Cutting – Churchyard
Thorpe Fen Grass and Hedge Cutting have terminated the agreement due to their big mower breaking and not been able to cut the grass. They have not charged us for the times they have cut the grass.
Cllr T. Hopper has cut the churchyard grass as it was very long. He didn’t want to be paid as that would be his contribution towards the new defibrillator batteries.
It was Resolved: Gary Willoughby will have a go at cutting churchyard.
9. Finance
To review and consider payment of accounts.
It was Resolved: That Council approve the payment of accounts.
• Thorpe Methodist Chapel – Room Hire - £25.00
• Clerk Salary - £150.00
• Lincolnshire County Council – Parish Election Fees - £48.50
