- Approval of the minutes from Wednesday 13th August 2025:
It was RESOLVED: That the Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on Thursday 13th August, be approved for signing as a true and accurate record.
- Mrs J. Rowson sent her apologies after the meeting.
- Planning Matters from East Lindsey District Council
There was no planning applications submitted for consideration at this meeting. Furthermore, it was confirmed that no planning permissions have been granted since the previous session.
- Highways:
- Lymn Bank Crossing – 12th Nov 2025 22:00 – 13th Nov 06:00 GMT - National Rail
- Thorpe Bank – Traffic lights – 14th November 2025 – Lincolnshire County Council.
- Thorpe Bank – Traffic lights – 18th November 2025 – Lincolnshire County Council.
- Cork Lane – Road Closure – From 8th December 8.00 till 16th December 17.00 – National Grid.
- Steeping Road – Road Closure – From 5th January 2026 till 6th February 2026 – Anglian Water
- Station Road Crossing – 8th February 2026 08:00 – 16:00 – National Rail
- B1195 Holeton Holegate to Spilsby – Closure - Thursday 13th November till Wednesday 19th November.
- Overgrown hedges – It was RESOLVED: to send a letter or email to the owners of the property. Cllr Maria Hume to send a copy of the letter to the clerk.
- Clerk’s Report:
- We have received an email from a Mill View, Green Lane complaining about Dog Poo. They have contact East Lindsey regarding this and ask for Dog Poo Bins, but they were told that the request must come from the Parish Council. It was RESOLVED: Clerk to email Mill view to say this has been passed on to our Cllr Carl Drury.
- Glendale – We have been charged for two extra cuts. It was RESOLVED: Clerk to email to say that we are not paying, as we agreed that we will only 5 cuts.
- Cllr Carl Drury has submitted a Councillor Community Grants on 12.11.25 for £694 for the 2 replacement defibrillators batteries.
- Finance
- Precept for 2026 – 2027
It was RESOLVED: to increase the precept by 10% which will be £2,530
- Approval payments
It was Resolved: That Council approve the following payment of accounts.
- Laura Willoughby – Clerk Salary - £150.00
- Thorpe Fendyke Methodist Chapel – Room Hire – £30
- Royal British Legion – Wreath & Donation - £25.00
- River Steeping – Mr J. Taylor gave an update on the river steeping. They are going to cut the reeds and do a fish survey in January. The bank has been repaired on the relief channel. Cllr Carl Drury has got a meeting with EA in December to discuss the river. There is no money for the river. Cllr Carl Drury has requested that we send a letter to EA to get the river delisted so then the drainage board can take it. We had a big discussion on the concerns we have.
