Notes of the Meeting of Thorpe St Peter Parish Council held at the School Room, Thorpe Fendyke Methodist Chapel, at 7.30pm on Monday 21st March 2022.

Council session

1. To not apologies and accept valid reasons for absence

3. Minutes of Previous Meeting

It was Resolved: That the Minutes of the Parish Council held on 10th November 2021 be approved

4. To receive a report about River Steeping Steering Group

Dredging has now been completed. They are working through the program. There will be a new work programme coming out soon.  

5. Planning & Highways

a. To consider planning applications validated since the last meeting of council

There was none

b. To note planning decisions received since last meeting of council

There was none

Highways:

a) Posts that have been put up at the land opposite of The Firs. It was resolved: for Clerk to contact Highways.

b) White Stones at Blackhorse Bridge. It was resolved for Clerk to contact Highways

6. To note correspondence received since the last meeting of council and consider any recommendations

a) LALC training scheme it was resolved to not join this year

b) LALC Membership It was resolved to join again. Clerk to send form

c) Grass Cutting Quotes it was resolved to carry on using Glendale

d) Email received from Matt Warman asking if we would like a meeting to discuss the river. It was Resolved: The Clerk to reply saying Thank you but we do not require a meeting. 

7. To receive report about Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

There is lots planned for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee for the Thursday to the Sunday. Posters will be going up soon. The main event will be on the Sunday in Wainfleet All Saints

8. Finance

To review and consider payment of accounts

It was Resolved: That Council approve the payment of accounts

• Thorpe Methodist Chapel – Room Hire - £20.00

• Clerk Salary - £100.00

• LALC membership for 2022 – 2023 - £141.99

• Thorpe St Peter Church for Grass Cutting - £275.00

9. To review Parochial Charities Accounts

Lloyds Bank are not allowing Parochial Charities to have a Cheque Book. It was Resolved: to look at Barclays to open a new bank account.

10. To consider items for inclusion on the agenda for the next meeting of the Parish Council, to be held on Wednesday 4th May 2022 at the School Room, Thorpe Fendyke Methodist Chapel
