Notes of the Meeting of Thorpe St Peter Parish Council held at the School Room, Thorpe Fendyke Methodist Chapel, at 7.30pm on Wednesday 4th May 2022.

3. Elect Chairman
It was Proposed and Seconded to nominate Cllr Joe Taylor as Chairman.
It was Resolved to elect Cllr Joe Taylor as Chairman of the Thorpe St Peter Parish Council for 2021/2022
4. Elect Deputy Chairman
It was resolved: to elect Deputy Chairman at the next meeting
5. Minutes of Previous Meeting
It was Resolved: That the Minutes of the Parish Council held on 21st March 2022 be approved
6. To receive a report about River Steeping Steering Group
The banks have been cut. There is a new Action Plan coming out. In the summer they are hoping to have an open meeting for residents at Batemans to look at the Action Plan and ask any questions.
7. Planning
a. To consider planning applications validated since the last meeting of council
Planning permission S/184/02619/21 - Change of use of land to provide an
extension to the existing holiday park for the siting of 37 no. static
caravans and the creation of vehicular access and closing off of
existing vehicular access. It was resolved: for Clerk to send replying objecting to it.
b. To note planning decisions received since last meeting of council
There was none
8. Highways:
a) Posts that have been put up at the land opposite of The Firs – We had a reply from Highways stating they are fine, and they are within his boundary. It was resolved: for Clerk to contact Highways and put a complaint in.
b) White Stones at Blackhorse Bridge. It was resolved for Clerk to contact Highways again regarding them.
9. To note correspondence received since the last meeting of council and consider any recommendations
a) Community emergency plan – joining with Wainfleet All Saints and Wainfleet St Marys. There is a meeting on Wednesday 18th May 2022 at 5pm.
b) Garden Plot – Waiting on an update from the Prosecution Hearing which should have taken place on 25th April 2022
c) Not heard anything from Environmental Departments regarding the Land Opposite of The Firs and the Caravans on a Field down Wedland Land.
d) PSPS have overpaid Council on Precept. PSPS are contacting the bank and taking the difference back.
e) LALC regarding emails. It was Resolved: that we are keeping with our current system.
10. To receive report about Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
There is lots planned for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee for the Thursday to the Sunday. Posters will be going up soon. The main event will be on the Sunday in Wainfleet All Saints.
11. Finance
a. Finalise accounts for year ending 31.03.22 and sign annual return.
It was Resolved: to approve the annual return for 2021/2022 and for Clerk to send the forms.
Cllr J Taylor signed on behalf of the council.
b. To review and consider payment of accounts
It was Resolved: That Council approve the payment of accounts
• Thorpe Methodist Chapel – Room Hire - £20.00
• Clerk Salary - £100.00
12. To review Parochial Charities Accounts
It was Resolved to add Mrs J. Banham on.
13. To consider items for inclusion on the agenda for the next meeting of the Parish Council, to be held on Wednesday 6th July 2022 at the School Room, Thorpe Fendyke Methodist Chapel
