Notes of Meeting 11th August 2021

Minutes for a meeting of the Thorpe St Peter Parish Council held on Wednesday 11th August 2021 at Thorpe Fendyke Methodist Chapel School Room

1.     Receive Apologies:
Cllr Gary Willoughby, Cllr W Bowkett of Lincolnshire County Council, PCSO Jayne Richardson

2.    Approve and adopt as minutes the notes for the meeting held on 19th May 2021. 
It was Proposed, Seconded and Resolved to adopt as minutes the notes from the meeting held on 19th May 2021.  Cllr J Taylor signed the minutes on behalf of the Council. 

3.    Resolve any matters arising from the minutes from 19th May 2021.
No matters arising 

4.    Receive notifications on any police matters. 
No police report

5.    Receive correspondence and decide appropriate actions. 
a.    Received an email from LALC about the training Scheme. As the scheme runs from April 2021 to March 2022, they have reduced the price to £60 plus VAT for us. All courses that are included in the training scheme was highlighted in orange. It was proposed and resolved to join the training Scheme for this year.
b.    Received an email regarding the LALC Conference and Annual General Meeting 2021 on Wednesday 6th October 2021, at The Bentley Hotel, 9am till 4.30pm. £27.50 plus VAT for each delegate.
c.    Email received from County Council regarding Tree planting. They have put a bid in for funding to plant trees around Lincolnshire. 

6.    Receive updates on River Steeping. 
Cllr Joe Taylor gave a report on the River Steeping. Repairing the toe of the bank has now been done. E.A. are waiting for an abstraction licence from the E.A. which they cannot get until January so the Dredging can not start until they have the abstraction licence. The drainage boards are looking at getting the tunnels at pumping station open. They are applying for some funding.
Some of the Councillors have asked if a letter can be sent to our local MP about the flooding. It was proposed and resolved for a letter to be sent. 

7.    Receive details of any planning applications from ELDC.
a.    No planning applications have been received.
b.    Garden plot – received an email stating that we will be updated by the end of the month.

8.    Receive and comment on any highway issues.
a.    Black Horse Bridge – White stones been placed very close to road. 
b.    Batemans Cottage – Bushes overgrown; traffic is having to go round it.
c.    Grooby’s Bridge – Fence post leaning into the road. 
d.    Cork Lane – The lane has a dip.
All Councillors agreed for Clerk to report using Fix my Street for point a, b & d and contact the E.A for point C.
9.    Review and confirm payments due. 
It was proposed and resolved to issue the following payments:
a.    Thorpe Fendyke Chapel for room hire £20
b.    Clerk Salary £100
c.    LALC Membership £139.22
d.    LALC ATS Membership £72

10.    Next Meeting
All Councillors agreed the next meeting will be on Wednesday 10th November 2021 at 7.30pm
